The Russell Springs Police Department worked an accident at the intersection of Highway 127 and Maple Street last Thursday.
According to the report, 75-year-old Margaret Pierce of Russell Springs was operating a 2018 Ford Explorer traveling east on Maple Street and as she went through the intersection, was struck by a 2021 Toyota Corolla operated by 89-year-old Vonnie Popplewell of Russell Springs.
Russell Springs Police were assisted on scene by members of the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
