The Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball team advanced to the Kentucky 2A Section 4 championship with a 3-0 win over LaRue County in the semifinals last night.
The first set went down to the wire with the Lady Lakers coming out on top 25-22, then the Lady Lakers dominated the second and third set, winning 25-13 and 25-11 to clinch the victory.
Russell County will take on Taylor County for the sectional championship Wednesday evening at 6:30 at Adair County High School.
