Jamestown man arrested on indictment warrant

A Jamestown man was arrested on an indictment warrant by Kentucky State Police over the weekend.

Troy L. Pierce, age 47, was arrested by Kentucky State Police over the weekend on an indictment warrant in which he faces charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine third or more offense, promoting contraband, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, menacing, terroristic threatening, tampering with physical evidence, and other charges.

Pierce was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 70 in neighboring Casey County back in February.

According to the Casey County Sheriff’s Office at the time, officers searched him at the jail and found he attempted to bring drugs into the jail.

He was arrested on the indictment warrant by Trooper Gadberry with Kentucky State Police Post 15 and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just before 6:30 Saturday evening.
