A Russell Springs man was arrested on an assault charge over the weekend.
According to jail records, 26-year-old John Coons was arrested by Russell Springs Police and charged with assault first degree.
Coons was arrested by Officer Mason Miniard and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center at around 5:40 Saturday evening.
