A Somerset man was indicted by a Russell County grand jury yesterday on 25 counts of possession of child pornography.
Stephen P. Hunter, age 58 of Somerset, was indicted on 25 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor with the child being under 12 years old, a class C felony.
According to the indictment, the crimes allegedly occurred in March 2020.
Several others were indicted by the grand jury yesterday. Those indicted include the following:
Mackenzie Curry, age 22 of Russell Springs, charged with assault first degree.
Paula Collins, age 36 of Russell Springs, charged with tampering with physical evidence and theft of property delivered by mistake valued at $10,000 or more.
Adam Frank, age 45 of Russell Springs, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree.
Coleman Miller, age 30 of Russell Springs, charged with assault third degree against a police officer, driving under the influence, careless driving, possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, operating on a suspended license, criminal mischief first degree, disorderly conduct second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender.
Cody J. Overby, age 30 of Jamestown, charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, theft of a controlled substance, and being a persistent felony offender.
Kyle W. Robertson, age 43 of Somerset, charged with theft by unlawful taking, $10,000 or more.
Samuel M. Skaggs, age 34 of Russell Springs, charged with possession of fentanyl.
Russell B. Miller, age 39 of Russell Springs, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
Joseph Hammond, age 25 of Jamestown, charged with fleeing or evading police first degree, three counts of wanton endangerment first degree, reckless driving, operating on a suspended license, speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, no insurance, failure to wear a seat belt, and criminal mischief third degree.
Heith Necessary, age 41 of Columbia, charged with failure to comply with the sex offender registry and being a persistent felony offender.
Jody Ann Johnson, age 31 of Russell Springs, charged with bail jumping first degree.
