A Pulaski County man was sentenced to 45 years in prison in connection with a 2021 murder.
According to Commonwealth’s Attorney David Dalton, 35-year-old Jesse R. Roberts of Eubank was sentenced late last week in connection with the July 2021 murder that resulted in the death of David Naylor, also of Eubank.
According to a release provided by the office, Naylor was found by his wife lying partially clothed and deceased outside the front entrance of his residence in the early morning hours of July 17, 2021.
The medical examiner would later determine that Naylor died due to blunt force injuries to the head.
An investigation determined that Roberts entered the residence and after a struggle, struck Naylor in the head and then attempted to make the scene look like a robbery attempt.
A mediation hearing between the victim’s family and the defense resulted in a 45-year-sentence for Roberts.
