Monticello woman arrested with more than 100 grams of meth

A Monticello woman was arrested earlier this week after reportedly being in possession of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Leshawnda E. Dumphord was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies performed a traffic stop on Highway 90.

According to law enforcement, around 113 grams of methamphetamine were seized during the search. A trafficking charge in Kentucky is considered two grams or more.

Dumphord was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
