Taylor County man indicted on federal drug, gun charges

A man in nearby Taylor County was indicted on federal drug and firearm charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Nicholas Zunker, age 35 of Campbellsville, was indicted after he was caught in November in possession of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and two semi-automatic pistols.

Zunker already had a felony conviction from an incident in 2010 in which he was charged in California on charges of illegal possession of a firearm and battery.

If convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.

This case is being investigated by the ATF and the Campbellsville Police Department.

An indictment is a legal accusation. It does not imply guilt or innocence.
