Sheriff’s office releases April report

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office released its monthly activity report for the month of April.

The sheriff’s office responded to 292 calls for service, not including calls directly to the sheriff’s office and walk-ins.

The sheriff’s office also made 12 arrests and responded to 5 domestic calls and 15 traffic accidents.

The sheriff’s office responded to 8 welfare checks, 5 trespassing complaints, and 3 shots fired complaints.

In total, deputies performed 10 mental health transports, served 66 court papers, and drove more than 2,000 court security miles.
