In middle school action on Thursday, the Lady Laker softball team fell in the A game to Taylor County by a score of 15-9. Russell County also dropped the B game, falling to the Lady Cardinals by a score of 8-2.
In middle school girls’ soccer action, Russell County defeated South Laurel by a score of 10-0 in the A game with Addison Coffey scoring six goals for the Lady Lakers, including her 100th goal of her career. Bella Blakey added three goals while Madison Bennett added one. Misha Gregory had five saves and Blakey had four saves as well in the victory.
In the B game it was South Laurel knocking off the Lady Lakers 2-1. Jayde Bozell scored a goal and Bella Blakey added four saves.
