Russell Springs Fire Dept. work mobile home fire early Tuesday

Just before 5 a.m. this morning, the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire on Decatur Road, containing the fire after approximately two hours, according to Fire Chief Bobby Johnson.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. A total of nine firefighters responded to the scene.

The fire department reminds the community to be cautious and vigilant when it comes to fire safety, especially as we approach the summer months.
