Rogers named Kentucky SRO Association Rookie of the Year

Jamestown Elementary School Resource Officer Jamie Rogers has been named the Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers Rookie of the Year.

Rogers, a 24-year law enforcement veteran, is in his first full year as the school resource officer at Jamestown Elementary School.

Rogers was recognized for receiving the award and his service at last night’s board of education meeting, with Superintendent Michael Ford, School Safety Director Jackie Grider, Principal Diane Blankenship and others praising Rogers’ work at the school.
