The Russell County Middle School Lady Laker Soccer team took down Wayne County in the opening round of the district tournament last night.
The Lady Lakers won 4-0 as Bella Blakey led Russell County with a pair of goals and Carly Shearer and Addison Coffey each added a goal as well.
Misha Gregory had five saves in the shutout win.
The Lady Lakers will take on Northern Pulaski in the semifinals tonight at Southwestern. The game is scheduled to get underway at around 6:30 p.m. CT.
