Two Russell County track athletes have qualified for state competition.
Sophomore Byron Kirkland-Lundy qualified to compete in the high jump competition, while senior Clayton Trosper qualified for the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles.
Trosper finished 7th in the 110 meter hurdles at the region meet and finished 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles.
Kirkland-Lundy finished third in the high jump at regional competition.
Trosper and Kirkland-Lundy will compete at the University of Kentucky on Friday, June 2.
