John L. Williams, 84, of Russell Springs, passed away at home.
John was born in Jamestown on August 23, 1938, a son of the late Gussie (Sullivan) and Joe L. Williams. He was a retired marina operator.
John is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Tarter, of Russell Springs; Johnna, wife of Dr. James Popplewell, and Luanne, wife of Tim Adams, of Jamestown. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Mandy (Eric) Weston, Emily (A.J.) Cook, Matthew (Rachel) Adams. Three great grandsons also survive: Layne and Avery Weston, and Owen Cook, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary W. Williams, brothers Ike, Millard, Parker and Cody Williams, granddaughter Billie Carol Murray.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, May 5th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating. Friends may visit 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday, May 5th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown Burial in Jamestown Cemetery.
