Clinton, Cumberland counties selected for post-election audit

Neighboring Clinton and Cumberland counties have been selected for a regular post-election audit by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office.

After every election, state law requires the Attorney General’s Office to randomly select at least 12 counties for a post-election audit.

The Attorney General’s office will present its findings to grand juries and chief circuit judges in each selected county.

State law also prohibits counties from being the subject of two consecutive inquiries.
