LCDHD recipient of $250,000 in funding to combat opioid use

On Thursday, the Lake Cumberland District Health Department received $250,000 in grant funding from the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Committee.

The funding will be used to expand work being done in corrections for those at risk or currently affected by opioid use disorder. Using an evidence based curriculum, the health department will work in detention centers and drug courts throughout the 10-county Lake Cumberland district to combat opioid use.

The award was announced by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron.
