RCHS teacher resigns amidst reported investigation into alleged misconduct

A Russell County teacher has resigned amidst reports that he is under investigation for alleged misconduct, according to authorities.

Aaron Bunch, a second-year science teacher at Russell County High School, resigned from his position Monday.

Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford announced Bunch’s resignation at the board of education meeting last night.

At the time of this report, no charges have been filed against Bunch, according to authorities.

In an emailed statement Tuesday afternoon, a spokesperson from Kentucky State Police Post 15 told WJRS News that state police have an active investigation into a Russell County teacher, but declined to comment further.
