The Kentucky State Police is notifying citizens that there are phone call scams circulating claiming to be the agency.
State police say they will never ask the public for financial information.
Law enforcement agencies will not ask anyone for banking or personal information, ask to send money, or make threats of arrest. You may contact the stated agency yourself if you are in any doubt.
State police recommend to treat every solicitation call as a scam until proven otherwise.
