Terry Stephens, the owner of Stephens Pipe and Steel, the largest employer in the county, opposes the proposed occupational tax increase by the Russell County Fiscal Court.
Stephens told the fiscal court Monday night that he opposes the tax increase but said he’d abide by the wishes of the magistrates.
