The Russell County Lakers and Lady Lakers split a doubleheader at Casey County last night.
The Lady Lakers fell to the Lady Rebels by a score of 52-35, making it five losses in a row for the Lady Lakers.
The Lakers ended their five-game losing skid by defeating Casey County 56-53 in a game that went down to the final shot.
The Lakers will be back in action on Thursday when they go on the road for a matchup with Taylor County. That game will be broadcast live on Laker Country 104.9 with pregame beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Both the Lady Lakers and Lakers will be in action on Saturday as they host Cumberland County for a district doubleheader, those games will also be broadcast on WJRS.
