City maintenance crews from Russell Springs and Jamestown are working multiple water line breaks due to the extremely cold temperatures that hit the county over the weekend.
The temperatures that were below zero at times over the weekend caused a lot of frozen and burst pipes across the county, resulting in water issues throughout the county.
WJRS News has been told the Eli community in particular has experienced several water line breaks.
As of now, crews are working calls of water line issues as they come in.
Russell Springs Utilities told WJRS News the city’s water storage is down due to multiple breaks and the utility department faces a challenge of building back up the storage as crews locate leaks and repair them.
