Beshear issues state of emergency as arctic front expected to hit state

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has issued a state of emergency as an arctic front prepares to make its way in, bringing flash freezing and extremely cold temperatures Thursday night into the weekend.

Officials are urging people to use caution if they have to travel because of hazardous road conditions.

Temperatures are expected to drop quickly Thursday night resulting in water from rain early in the day to freeze quickly on roadways.
