New data released on last year’s state assessments provided a mixed bag of results for Salem Elementary.
Salem Elementary received a score of 64 overall, which placed the school in the medium, or yellow, color rating.
Yellow is the third-highest score in the five-color system.
Salem scored yellow in both the combined reading and math as well as the science, social studies, and writing indicator.
Salem scored above state averages in the number of students scoring proficient or distinguished in reading, math, and science, while lower than state average in students scoring proficient or distinguished in social studies and combined writing.
