Russell County is in the yellow in the latest COVID community level map released by the state’s department for public health.
Adair and Pulaski join Russell County in the yellow category, indicating a medium level of community spread, while the rest of the neighboring counties are in the red category.
Red indicates a high level of community spread.
Most of the eastern and central parts of the state are in the red or yellow categories, while 12 counties statewide are in the green, or low level of spread. Most of those are in the western portion of the state.
In total, 37 counties are in the yellow and 71 are in the red.
