The state’s online portal to request an absentee ballot for the upcoming November general election will open soon.
According to the Kentucky Secretary of State’s Office, the portal will open one week from today on Saturday, Sept. 24.

There are several situations that can qualify a registered voter for an absentee ballot, such as being a student who temporarily resides outside the county or someone who is not able to make it to a polling place due to age, disability, illness, etc.
