The Russell County Laker Golf team continued its reign of dominance in the 16th District with its fourth consecutive district title Thursday evening.
The Lakers came away with a six-shot victory to claim the district title, shooting a 161 on the day to runner-up Metcalfe County’s 167.
Along with the team title, Russell County senior Bentley Perkerson claimed the 16th District Individual Champion, defeating Monroe County’s Jacob Ryan in a one-hole playoff.
Perkerson shot a 38 on the day with Noah McMillin just one shot behind at 39.
Daylon Blevins shot a 40 and Kole Rixon shot a 44. Parker Johnson added a 47 on the day.
