The Russell County Laker Baseball team will take on the Woodford County Yellow Jackets in the semifinals of the Clark’s Pump – N – Shop KHSAA Baseball State Tournament on Friday.
The 4th Region Champion Lakers will take on the 8th Region Champion Yellow Jackets at 11:30 a.m. CT at Kentucky Proud Park in Lexington.
The Lakers defeated Madison Central 2-1 in the opening round, and defeated Beechwood 1-0 in the quarterfinals last weekend.
The winner will move on to the state championship on Saturday to take on the winner of McCracken County and Saint X.
