A Wayne County man is accused of shooting his mother on Mother’s Day following a dispute over an Xbox controller.
According to law enforcement, 22-year-old Jacob Small was arrested Sunday night and faces charges of attempted murder, assault and criminal mischief after he reportedly fired a rifle at his mother following a dispute over an Xbox controller he reportedly had given her as a gift.
The dispute reportedly took place in the Susie community of Wayne County and Small was arrested without incident.
The woman was taken to Wayne County Hospital and then to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of injuries.
