The Russell Springs Elementary School Site-Base Council is set to discuss the school’s upcoming principal vacancy today.
Principal Rene Gossage is retiring at the end of the school year, and the council is set to begin reviewing applications and taking other action on the upcoming vacancy at a meeting today which will take place at 3:30 in the school’s library media center.
The council will undergo principal selection training, develop selection criteria, write interview questions, and develop a principal selection timeline.
The council is also expected to go into executive session to review applications. The job was posted on April 18.
