The Russell County Lady Laker Softball team fell to the Greenwood Lady Gators in the opening round of the 4th Region Tournament at Western Kentucky University Saturday afternoon.
The game remained scoreless after three innings, but the Lady Gators, one of the top hitting teams in the state, scored six runs in the fourth inning on their way to a 7-0 win over the Lady Lakers.
Mallie McQueary picked up the lone hit for the Lady Lakers in the game.
The Lady Lakers finish the season with a final record of 18-11 and 16th District champions, both in the regular season and tournament.
