Laker Baseball picks up 3 wins over the weekend in Myrtle Beach

The Laker Baseball team had a big weekend in the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.

The Lakers picked up three wins over the weekend.

The Lakers knocked off Archbishop Carroll from Pennsylvania by a score of 9-1 on Friday. Nathan Lawson had a big day with two home runs and 4 RBI. Camden Carpenter and Bryce Cowell each drove in two runs as well.

Cody Luttrell put together a strong performance on the mound, pitching the complete game and giving up just one run on four hits and striking out 11.

On Saturday, the Lakers took on Prestonsburg High School and picked up a 7-0 win.

Nick Aaron pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out six batters.

Mayes Gosser drove in two runs for the Lakers.

On Sunday, the Lakers took on Centreville High School from Virginia, coming away with a 16-9 win.

Mayes Gosser and Aidan Antle each drove in three runs, while Nathan Lawson, Issac Roy, and Trace Stringer each drove in two.

Antle got the win on the mound, pitching 4 1/3 innings, giving up 6 runs on 9 hits and striking out 4.

After this weekend, the Lakers now sit at 9-1 on the season.
