Several RC FFA students headed to state competition

The Russell County FFA Chapter recently competed in the Lake Cumberland Region FFA Contests.  Thirteen other schools make up the Lake Cumberland Region.

Campbellsville University hosted the events.

Russell County had 21 competitors with 14 making the Top 3 in their competition.

Seven RC FFA members will advance to the state competition in June.

Fruit and Vegetable Impromptu Speaking – Sophie Shearer superior 1st overall and will advance to the state contest.

Dairy Impromptu Speaking – Bryanna Smith superior 1st overall and will advance to the state contest.

Greenhouse Impromptu Speaking – Olivia Pierce superior 1st overall and will advance to the state contest.

Horse Impromptu Speaking – Chloe Robertson superior 1st overall and will advance to the state contest.

Swine Impromptu Speaking – Brandon Leach superior 1st overall and will advance to the state contest.

Aquaculture Impromptu Speaking – Jasmin Grant superior 1st overall and will advance to the state contest.

Small Animal Impromptu Speaking – Hannah Yates superior 2nd overall and will advance to the state contest.

Extemporaneous Speaking – Abby Wolford superior 2nd overall and will advance to the state contest.

American Institute of Cooperatives Test- Nate Aaron superior 2nd

Floral Impromptu Speaking – Morgan Jones superior 3rd

Beef  Impromptu Speaking – Alexis Fox superior 3rd

Nursery Impromptu Speaking – Elly Richardson superior 3rd

Prepared Public Speaking – Lakyn Stearns superior 3rd

Wildlife- Ellie Terry superior 3rd

Ag Mechanics Impromptu Speaking – Eli Foley superior

Crop Impromptu Speaking – Cass Foley superior

Goat & Sheep Impromptu Speaking – Will Stephens superior

Poultry Impromptu Speaking – Avery Hart superior

Turf and Lawn Impromptu Speaking – Lucas McFall superior

Creed Speaking – Hadleigh Parrish superior
