SCC could see higher tuition in upcoming academic year

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents reportedly met this weekend to discuss several proposals, including the raising of tuition.

The board voted to raise tuition by $3 per credit hour for the 2022-23 academic year, making the rate $182 for in-state students, $364 for students living in counties bordering Kentucky and $637 for other out-of-state students.

Plans for staff raises, and a new four-year strategic plan that focuses on goals to increase learner success, increase employment success, and increase organization success was also discussed, per statewide media reports.

The board will vote on the proposals at their June meeting.
