Mask mandate lifted at Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center

A state mandate that required students and teachers at the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center to wear masks has been lifted, according to Superintendent Michael Ford.

The board unanimously approved updates to the school’s operations plan Monday night to align with updated guidance that makes masks optional at the center, along with guidance released a few weeks ago by the CDC that lifts mask requirements on school buses.

There are now no mask requirements in Russell County Schools.
