Barbara Gossett, age 68, of Russell Springs

Barbara Gossett, of Russell Springs, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. She was 68 years of age.

Born on March 14, 1953, in LaFollette, Tennessee, Barbara was a daughter of the late Harry Polson and the late Evelyn Comer Riggs. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Barbara was a former beautician, and a former factory worker for Fruit of the Loom. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barbara also enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Chuck Gossett of Russell Springs, whom she wed on July 15, 1991; one son, Jason (Jenny) Paul of Lakeland, Florida; two daughters, Chrissie (Johnny) Blair of Valdosta, Georgia, and Ashlee Jones of Knoxville, Tennessee; and six grandchildren, Jacob (Jasmine) Paul, Jordan Paul, Chelsey Goddard, Gavin Jones, Bailey Blair, and Gigi Jones; one great-grandchild, Jessie Paul; and Joey Paul, on the way. Barbara is also survived by one brother, Jerry (Connie) Polson of Knoxville, Tennessee; and four sisters, Linda Polson-Pemberton of Caryville, Tennessee, Rosemary Polson of Caryville, Tennessee, Regina Kreis of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, and Sherry Polson of South Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Polson; and one sister, Cindy Riggs.

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Bernard, Michael Robertson, Dylan Robertson, Darren Roy, Chris Golden, and Andy Wade.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Paul and Jordan Paul.
