4-H Speech and Project Demonstrations Contest Results

The Russell County 4-H Speech and Project Demonstrations Contest was held earlier this week with several local participants taking home top honors. Nineteen 4-H youth participated in the competitions.

In Speech it was Piper Garmon as champion and blue ribbon winner.

In Science Engineering Tech, Olivia Martin was champion and blue ribbon winner, Owen Buras was runner-up and blue ribbon winner, Brystol Smith won a blue ribbon as did Harlee Morgan.

In Team Demonstration it was Gunner Coe and Aaron McGowan as champion and blue ribbon winners. Kambyr Bradshaw and Ariana Owens were runner-ups and red ribbon winners and Kane Boreing and Holden Gabehart won a red ribbon.

In Animal Science, Kynlie Jasper was champion and a blue ribbon winner. In Foods (Junior) it was Lillian Davis as champion and blue ribbon winner. In Foods (Senior) it was Elizabeth Hoskins as champion and blue ribbon winner.

In Performing Arts (Junior) it was Audrey Wilson as champion and blue ribbon winner and in Performing Arts (Senior) it was Kate Daffron as champion and blue ribbon winner.

The Family and Consumer Sciences champion and blue ribbon winner was Sadie Grace Shearer. Jenna Mann was runner-up and blue ribbon winner. In the Health category, Sydney Dykes was champion and blue ribbon winner.

The blue ribbon champions will advance to compete in the district Lake Cumberland 4-H Showcase of Stars on May 17 at Campbellsville University.
