Russell Springs woman airlifted after collision in Adair County

A Russell Springs woman was airlifted from the scene of a rollover collision in the Millerfield community of Adair County Monday evening, according to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.

Reports are that Brandon Mathis, age 38 of Russell Springs, was operating a 2004 Buick on KY 76 when he dropped off the shoulder of the road and the vehicle flipped multiple times before coming to rest in an adjacent field.

A passenger in the vehicle, Tashina Mathis, age 37 of Russell Springs, was partially ejected during the crash.

She was treated on scene by Adair County EMS and then airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Brandon Mathis was taken to TJ Health Columbia where he was treated and released, and then cited by Deputy Kenny Perkins for not having an operators license.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
