Russell County’s COVID incidence rate ranks 51/120

The last update, posted Friday evening on the state dashboard, showed 22 new COVID cases in Russell County, which was in the middle of the county-by-county numbers reported on Friday.

Jefferson County reported 856 new cases, while Carlisle and Hickman counties each posted just one new case.

Russell County’s incidence rate, or number of cases per 100,000 population, ranked as the 51st highest of Kentucky’s 120 counties.

Only Cumberland and Green counties had higher incidence rates in the Lake Cumberland District.
