Laker Bowling wins pre-region tournament, prepares for region this week

On Saturday the Laker Bowling Team traveled to Phillips Lanes in Campbellsville to compete in the Taylor County Pre-Region Tournament.

After the 9 games of qualifying, the Lady Lakers finished the tournament in 7th place.

The Laker Boys were in 1st place after the 9 qualifying games and went on to the semi-finals match against the Taylor County Cardinals.

The Lakers defeated the Cardinals 213-139 and 235-159 to move into the championship round with the John Hardin Bulldogs.

The Lakers lost the first game 203-197, but came back and won the next three games 201-194, 185-181, and 179-137 to take first place in the pre-region tournament.

The Bowling Team returns to Phillips Lanes on Tuesday to take on the Campbellsville Eagles at 5:00 CT.
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the Laker Bowling team will be competing in the KHSAA 2nd Region Tournament at Phillips Lanes.
The Lady Lakers will be in action on Thursday in the Team event. The Laker Boys will be in action on Friday in the Team event, and on Saturday, the top 4 Lady Lakers and top 4 Laker Boys will compete in the Singles Event.
