After several months of construction, the new KFC fast food restaurant in Russell Springs officially opened its doors on Monday.
The KFC is located on Lacy Drive in the former Long John Silver’s location.
City leaders first made the announcement of KFC coming to the city during a city council meeting in September, the culmination of multiple years of discussion and planning with the company, according to Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas.
Headquartered in Louisville, KFC is the world’s second-largest restaurant chain, as measured by sales, and is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands.
