Coffey indicted on murder charge

Jordan Coffey has been indicted in the November murder of 38-year-old Christopher Glenn Coffey.

Jordan Coffey was indicted by a grand jury in Russell Circuit Court Tuesday on charges of murder in the stabbing death of Christopher Coffey, along with a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

The murder reportedly occurred on Friday, Nov. 26 according to Kentucky State Police and Jordan Coffey was located in Putnam County, Tennessee the following Monday.

Several others were indicted by a Russell County Grand Jury on Tuesday. Those indicted included the following:

  • Wesley Taylor, age 33 of Russell Springs: charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Jared C. Lloyd, age 44, of Jamestown: charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fleeing or evading police second degree.
  • Denishia Brown, age 30, of Jamestown: charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, disregarding a stop sign, no insurance, failure to produce insurance card, and failure to wear a seat belt.
  • Joshua Philpott, age 29, of Jamestown: charged with fleeing or evading police first degree, no registration plates, no registration receipt, no insurance, operating on a suspended license, and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Clifton M. Collins, age 48, of Russell Springs: charged with trafficking in more than two grams of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance third degree, no registration plates, no registration receipt, and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Nadine Blowers, age 49, of Russell Springs: charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of LSD, and no operators license.
  • Alicia Ropp, age 24, of Russell Springs: charged with possession of heroin and possession of fentanyl.
  • Courtney Gray, age 28, of Russell Springs: charged with possession of methamphetamine, public intoxication, and resisting arrest.
  • Daniel Brown, age 42, of Russell Springs: charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance second degree.
  • Paul Mills, age 54, of Russell Springs: charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance second degree, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Ricky Robbins, age 54, of Liberty: charged with criminal mischief second degree, burglary third degree, theft by unlawful taking $1000 or more, possession of burglar’s tools, and being a persistent felony offender.
  • Paul Hadley, age 32, of Russell Springs: charged with sexual abuse first degree involving a victim under 12 years old.
  • Shane Major, age 50, of Jamestown: charged with receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more.
  • James R. Goins, age 35, of Noblesville, Indiana: charged with wanton endangerment first degree (two counts), tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Michael R. Ellison, age 39, of Jamestown: charged with receiving stolen property $1,000 or more.
  • Heather Herd aka Heather Jackson, age 35, of Jamestown: charged with operating on a suspended or revoked license and disorderly conduct second degree.
