Russell County property owners should have received or will soon be receiving a property tax bill, and by paying that tax bill this month, property owners can receive a two percent discount.
Bills paid from now until November 1 receive the discount. Those paid between November 2 and December 31 are the face amount.
A five-percent penalty will be incurred on bills paid between Jan. 1, 2022 and Jan. 31, 2022.
Bills can be paid in-person, over the phone, or by mail.
