Russell County saw a 1.1 percent decrease in unemployment last month compared to 2020.
Russell County’s unemployment rate was 4.4 percent last month compared to 5.5 percent in August 2020.
Unemployment rates fell across Kentucky with all 120 counties showing a decrease.
Below is a look at counties within the Lake Cumberland area.
Adair – 4.4 percent – down 1.1 percent
Casey – 3.4 percent – down 1.2 percent
Clinton – 3.9 percent – down 0.4 percent
Cumberland – 2.8 percent – down 0.8 percent
Green – 3.2 percent – down 0.6 percent
McCreary – 4.8 percent – down 0.7 percent
Pulaski – 4 percent – down 1.5 percent
Taylor – 3.1 percent – down 1.2 percent
Wayne – 4.1 percent – down 0.9 percent
