Behind a strong performance from McKenzie Trautman, the Russell County Lady Laker Golf Team won the 2A state championship in Owensboro on Monday.
McKenzie shot a 68, good enough for 4 under par and a personal best, which was also the top score in the field.
Breanna Trautman shot a 84, Madalyn Wright shot a 95, Emily Coe shot a 99, and Carleen Meyers shot a 126, for a team score of 346.
The Lady Lakers defeated Marion County, Boyle County, Mason County, and Bardstown to get the win.
