Jamestown Fire responds to “big boom” on Cumberland Avenue Monday

The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a non-structure fire on Cumberland Avenue within the city limits Monday evening after a “big boom” was heard around Jamestown.

The exact cause of the incident was not officially confirmed as of late Monday night, but firefighters responded between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and were able to stop the fire from spreading.

The fire occurred on East Cumberland Avenue. We’ll have more on this story as details are available.
