A Russell Springs man was arrested on assault and theft charges by Russell Springs Police Thursday evening.
Derek Peterson, age 33, was arrested on charges of assault fourth degree domestic violence with minor injury and theft by unlawful taking more than $500 but less than $10,000.
Peterson was arrested by Officer Lucas Justice and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
