Russell County’s unemployment rate dropped one percent from July 2020 to July 2021 according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics.
Russell County’s unemployment rate last month was 5.4 percent, down from 6.4 percent the year prior.
The unemployment rate in Russell County was slightly above the average for the Lake Cumberland District, which was at 4.8 percent.
