More details released about arrest Sunday night

According to Russell Springs Police Chief Tim Pierce, Russell Springs Officer Kyle Wilson responded to the Cumberland Lodge Sunday night regarding a call of a subject breaking into one of the rooms.
Once contact was made with the subject, later identified as Mark P. Bonham, age 33, of Somerset, Bonham admitted to breaking into the room; the room was not rented at the time of the incident. However, there were numerous back packs located in the room, at this time believed to be abandoned property. After further investigation of the property, Officer Wilson found a firearm, a large quantity of currency and suspected methamphetamine.
Bonham was charged with: burglary, third Degree, trafficking in methamphetamine and criminal mischief, third degree.
Bonham was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. RSPD Officer Wilson was assisted on scene by Russell County Sheriff’s Deputies Dustin Bunch and Joshua Phipps.
