Fish Hatchery cancels multiple September events

With an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the area, as well as federal, state, and local guidelines in place, the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is cancelling multiple events planned for next month.
Those events include:
September 9th…Wounded Warrior Fishing Event
September 21st…Catch A Smile Senior Fishing Derby
September 22nd…Reaching For Rainbows Special Needs Kids Derby…Adair, Clinton, and Russell Counties
September 23rd…Reaching For Rainbows Special Needs Kids Derby…Casey, Cumberland and Wayne Counties
Because these events are focused on targeted audiences such as wounded servicemen with varying health issues, special needs children and seniors over 62, and with the utmost consideration for the health and well being of the participants, volunteers and staff, this is the best decision for all, according to James Gray.
The fish hatchery hopes to bring these events back in 2022.
